HFS CONNECTS

Connects is a community peer support program that links military connected volunteers to service members, veterans, and their families (SMVF). Through these partnerships, strengths are cultivated and barriers to resources are knocked down.

HFS STORYTELLING

Storytelling matches trained, military-connected volunteers with service members, veterans, and their family members to develop, record, and share their service-related stories. For veterans, storytelling is a proven method for reducing PTSD while helping family members, friends, and neighbors understand their loved ones better.

HFS MORNING COFFEE

Morning Coffee, our monthly drop-in and resource center, creates a sense of belonging and camaraderie while providing access to resources. We offer delicious snacks, coffee, and good company. We host occasional speakers who educate us about resources available to service members, veterans, and their families. Practitioners in massage, reiki, meditation, and yoga share their services free to veterans and military family members.

Community partner initiatives

HomeFront Strong works to fill the gaps in access to resources and build resilience among veterans and military families by offering additional programming in partnership with like-minded organizations

VETERANS MEDIATION TRAINING

HomeFront Strong has long partnered with the founders of Quabbin Mediation to offer specialized Veterans Mediation training to veterans and military family members who serve other veterans and military family members. This training is now offered as a program of HomeFront Strong along with new options for specialized training

HFS OUTDOORS

Nature and exercise are healing, and part of resilience! We partner with organizations like North Quabbin Trails Association to host events that promote healing, connection, and wellbeing through activity in nature.

HFS FOOD DISTRIBUTION

Through our food security initiative, we help veteran and military families access quality food when needed. This program is made possible by Jubilee Food Pantry in Ware, MA. Click on the button below for details and registration.

HomeFront Strong Workshops

WORKSHOPS AND EVENTS

HomeFront Strong and its partners hold workshops, seminars, meals, performances, and more—all to help build community. Both online and in-person, our workshops help build resilience for first responders, health care professionals, social workers, therapists, teachers, and others. We teach about trauma in the context of military culture and how to help.

WOMEN VETERANS INITIATIVE

WOMEN VETERANS INITIATIVE

Serving in the military takes strength, dedication, and a sense of duty & purpose. Serving in the military as a woman requires takes resolve and fortitude that many can only hope to achieve and all should aspire to. Here at HomeFront Strong we recognize the courage and tenacity women service members and veterans possess. We are dedicated to lifting up their voices while speaking to challenges they face.
