DESCRIPTION & ARTIST GUIDELINES:
Art is a powerful force for expression and healing, and many of our service members, veterans, and their family members channel their experiences of service into their art. Our Shaped by Service Art Show, hosted by Workshop13 at their Artworks Gallery the week of Veterans Day, celebrates the influence military service has on expressive outlets and the healing power these outlets contain. In 2023, we will also showcase the stories of our artists as they sit down under our HFS Storytelling Project to explain how their art and service have intersected. Artists can indicate their interest in participating in the storytelling component on the registration form.
ENTRY CRITERIA & FEES:

All service members, veterans, and immediate family members who would like to submit their artwork to the show may do so free of charge. Artwork submitted by service members, veterans, and immediate family members do not have to undergo the jury process.

Anyone who does NOT identify as a service member, veteran, or family member who would like to submit their art work may do so for a $25 per piece charge. Art work submitted by non-military-connected individuals must relate to the military service theme. Artwork by non-military-connected artists will be juried based on images submitted to [email protected] upon entry.

Open to all 2-D and 3-D mediums. At this time, we are unable to accept electronic media and do not accept AI generated work.

Artwork must fit through a standard height, 36′ wide door, and if over 30′ wide, must come provided with suitable display stands.

PLEASE!!! Check the spelling and the price of each piece before submitting your work! We have no way to edit your entry information, and this data is directly used to populate our Online Show. HomeFront Strong will receive a 10% donation for all work sold. Please price your work accordingly!
– 2-D work must be framed and securely wired across for hanging.
– Work must be hand-delivered to ArtWorks Gallery on specified dates.
TERMS OF ENTRY
HomeFront Strong will receive a 10% donation on all work sold. Art need not be for sale, but it is encouraged.
Artists retain all copyrights to submitted images and represented artwork. By entering the competition, artists selected to exhibit grant HomeFront Strong and Workshop13 the rights to use the selected image(s) on social media, the website, and printed materials for promotional purposes as well as the online show posted on the HomeFront Strong website.
HomeFront Strong and Workshop13 will not be held responsible for the loss or damage of any artwork and recommends all artists carry insurance sufficient to cover the full replacement value of their artwork. By submitting to this exhibition, each artist will be deemed to have concurred with this agreement.
