Sgt. 1st Class Christopher D. Boynton, 30 of Fort Riley, Kansas died suddenly Wednesday, October 28, 2015. Christopher, son of Paul and Patricia Boynton, was born in Holyoke on April 11, 1985. Raised in Ware, MA, Chris attended and graduated from the Ware School System. Chris entered the U.S. Army in 2003 as a Medical Specialist and then transfered to the E.O.D. unit. Chris served the Army with distinction through two deployments to Iraq and one deployment to Afghanistan. His passion for life touched many lives as did his dedication to family, friends, comrades and country. Christopher is best remembered for his selflessness, caring, compassionate nature as well as his valor, humor and ability to lead his soldiers with respect and conviction. His legacy is love, as he said himself, "I have learned that the only thing that matters is love.” Christopher was predeceased by his beautiful baby boy, John Paul Christopher, who was born and died on May 1, 2015. In addition to his parents, Chris leaves his loving wife and E.O.D. partner Tasia, her daughter, Isis, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
