US Army 1969 - 1970
A proud Vietnam Veteran, Bill served his country in the US Army from 1972 - 1974 with honor and carried that sense of duty and loyalty throughout his life. Fearing their older brother would be drafted to fight in the war, Bill and his younger brother enlisted to serve alongside him. As fate would have it, however, their older brother was not drafted, but was likewise inspired to enlist himself. This legacy of family and service lives on in Bill's family and friends, including his daughter, Jenna, who began volunteering for HomeFront Strong (HFS) during the pandemic. Jenna continues to serve with HFS, coordinating the food distribution, acting as a board member, and serving as the treasurer.
